Preliminary Task- Photography
On Tuesday, we decided to take part in the set preliminary task. This then meant we had to take photo's of our environment or peers and change the camera's setting/mode for each individual shot. Although, due to us all being placed in a small group, we had a specific theme in which we had to bear in mind when taking the shots. For instance my group's theme was; Trapped Vs Freedom. Therefore we had to take images that we felt reflected these themes. After finding out our theme, my group chose the Cannon 700D Camera and then we decided to watch a quick tutorial on how to change the the camera's mode, so that we were ready to start shooting.
The reason for this preliminary task was so that we could all gain an understanding about as to why certain modes are used when taking photo's and what effect this then has on the captured image. Although, after doing this task, I still don't feel that comfortable changing the settings and therefore I will take some more images using the different modes so that I can become more confident for when I create my own ancillary texts.

Although, we thought that this particular mode made the image too bright and exposed and therefore, felt that this particular mode would have been better for an indoor image.
